Harry Styles Just Saved Rock ‘N’ Roll: An Album Review

By now you’re probably aware that Harry Styles dropped his first solo album. You most likely saw it on Snapchat, heard Sign of the Times on the radio, or your cousin with a man bun won’t shut up about it. And with good reason.

This is the album I’ve been waiting for. An album that will stand out in music history. It’s our generation’s Rock ‘N’ Roll saving grace.

I’ve been craving good ‘ol fashioned Rock for quite some time. That classic 70s sound with a modern twist to give it new life. And God bless Harry Styles because he’s done just that. This album has everything from gentle acoustic ballads to tunes reminiscent of the Beatles and the Stones.

The songs Sweet Creature, Meet Me In The Hallway, and From The Dining Table, give you that laid-back acoustic feel. Then there are songs like Kiwi, Only Angel, and Woman. Those songs that you feel in your bones. The ones that make you want to put on black sunglasses and a leather jacket and drive down a backroad with your windows down; wind rushing through your hair and over your skin in a whirlwind of sick sound and sweet emotion.

This isn’t just an album for the Directioners, either. This is an album for all. Whether you’re 15 or 50, I truly believe there is something on this album for everyone.

So, go ahead. Dig out your Mick Jagger level skinny jeans, trusty leather jacket, solid black sunglasses, and settle in with Harry’s new sound.
